2011 Arizona International Auto Show Comes Nov. 24-27

SanTan Honda is gearing up for the 2011 Arizona International Auto Show, taking place Thanksgiving weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center.
Hundreds of the latest 2012-model year vehicles will be on display at the Phoenix Convention Center November 24-27, including brand-new 2012 Honda models already on sale at SanTan Honda, and 2012 models yet to arrive at our Chandler Honda dealership. Honda representatives will be on-site to answer questions and provide information on these new models.
This exciting Arizona automotive event will offer an up-close look at the newest cars, crossovers, trucks, hybrid vehicles and more, as well as offer visitors the chance to get behind the wheel and test drive several hot new rides. From high-end sports cars to interactive family entertainment, the Arizona International Auto Show offers something for everyone.

Chandler Arizona Fireworks Shows & Events

While our staff here at SanTan Honda gears up for the big 4th of July weekend, we couldn’t help but wonder where the best places to celebrate 4th of July are in Chandler, Arizona. That’s why we put together a handy guide to the top 4th of July fireworks and events in Chandler and the surrounding Phoenix-metro area.
Chandler’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. See the best fireworks in Chandler with the annual Chandler 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. Events include live music, a free kids carnival, a bike parade and food and beverage vendors. Activities include a 35-foot water slide, a rock-climbing wall, a dunk tank, and assorted water games.

July 4th, “A Star Spangled Shoot Out!” at Rawhide. Celebrate 4th of July in Arizona like a true cowboy at Rawhide’s Star Spangled Shootout. Along with an incredible fireworks show, there will be live music, cowboys, gunfights, action packed performances, food, fun and family. Admission includes Rawhide attractions and Aerial Fireworks Display.

Tempe Town Lake 4th of July Fireworks. The 4th of July Tempe Town Lake Festival boasts Arizona’s largest display of fireworks. The 7-hour festival begins at 4 p.m. and features water activities, kids activities, all-day concerts and lots of food vendors. The Tempe fireworks start at 9:10 p.m. and last an amazing 45 minutes, with more than 1,200 separate explosions.

7/4: Fabulous Phoenix Fourth. An estimated 60,000 people visit the Fabulous Phoenix Fourth fireworks show every year — Phoenix’s biggest 4th of July celebration. Unlike many other Phoenix 4th of July firework events, admission to the Fabulous Phoenix Fourth is free and visitors can bring coolers with food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Scottsdale Independence Day Music Festival. Country singer Blake Shelton headlines this year’s Independence Day Music Festival at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona. Other performers include American Idol runner-ups Crystal Bowersox and Casey James. A Scottsdale fireworks show with over 1,300 fireworks caps off the evening.

Mesa Celebration of Freedom. Celebration Freedom takes over downtown Mesa for two days July 1 and July 2. A huge Mesa fireworks show caps off the night.

Honda Hits 1 Million Facebook Fans – Launches “We’re Fans of You Too” Week

Ever since Honda launched its Facebook page in August 2009, fans have shared hundreds of pictures, stories, videos and moments showing their love of Honda. As Honda hits the one million fan mark, it wants to return the love with “We’re Fans of You Too” Week on Facebook.
Every day during “We’re Fans of You Too” Week, Honda will pay tribute to its more extraordinary Facebook fans with some personal appreciation. For example:
* When a fan carved a Honda logo on their lawn, Honda carved that fan’s name into their corporate headquarters next to the main entrance.
* When a fan revealed his love for Honda with his Honda logo tattoo, Honda’s vice president of marketing got an airbrushed tattoo of the fan’s name and face. (Common – you didn’t think he’d get a real tattoo, did you?)
* When a fan got a special Honda haircut, a Honda associate got that fan’s name carved in his hair.
“We’re honored to have one million Honda brand Facebook fans and we wanted to show our appreciation in a meaningful way,” said Alicia Jones, social media strategist at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “How many people do you know who would carve someone else’s name into their hair?
