Get a Free Lunch at ASU Campus – and a Chance to Win a Brand New Civic Si!

Honda just announced that it has launched the Civic “Study Break” social marketing tour, a chance for college students to explore the all-new 2012 Honda Civic models up close and personal. The tour kicks off April 21 at the Arizona State University campus.
“The goal of the Civic ‘Study Break’ tour is to engage with young buyers and introduce them to the all-new Civic,” said Tom Peyton, brand manager at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “It offers a unique and fun way for students to learn about the Civic’s new interactive technologies and personalization features.”
Students will have the opportunity to explore various Civic models and receive a free lunch by texting special codes found on the vehicles. They can also register at www.civicstudybreak.com for the chance to win a 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe.
The Civic “Study Break” tour will continue on to five other universities through May 12, 2011. Tour stops include:
University of Arizona (April 28)
University of Southern California (May 3)
University of California, Los Angeles (May 5)
Stanford University (May 10)
University of California, Berkeley (May 12)

United Blood Services will be in the parking lot of SanTan Honda Superstore on Wednesday, February 2nd from 1:00-3:00pm. Help those in need by donating your blood for a worthy cause.
Walk-ins are more than welcome, but scheduling an appointment is strongly encouraged. Go here to make your appointment (under “code” enter “Honda”) or go to www.bloodhero.com. Click on ‘Make an Appointment Now’. Fill in the information and click submit. You will be asked to search by a sponsor code. Our code is the word ‘Honda’. Select the date of the drive, then select your desired appointment time. It is that easy!

Honda Premieres “The Undying Dream” Short-Film Documentary at 2011 Sundance Film Festival

The “DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE” Documentary Series debuts with Honda starring in its eighth short-film documentary, “The Undying Dream,” at the Sundance Film Festival.
“‘The Undying Dream’ is about finding your unique strengths and talents and having the passion and resilience to commit to your calling,” said Barbara Ponce, manager of corporate advertising for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “The Sundance Film Festival is the ideal venue to present Honda’s new film, as the Sundance Institute and Honda both encourage an independent spirit, taking risks to bring forth bold ideas, and realizing the power of your own dreams in the process.”
Directed by Ondi Timoner, the only filmmaker to twice win the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, with producers @radical.media, “The Undying Dream” brings to life a Honda corporate principle — the challenging spirit. This spirit is demonstrated in Honda’s quest to pursue and achieve impossible dreams, which has led to the creation of innovative products that enhance human mobility and advance environmental consciousness.

Do you love to watch golf? What better place to spectate than live and in-person at the beautiful Tournament Players Club in North Scottsdale? The Waste Management Phoenix Open runs from January 31st- February 6th, 2011, tickets are now on sale. In addition to the thrill of watching some of the PGA’s greatest players go at it on the green, don’t forget about all the extra festivities that take place during the tournament. An evening at the Bird’s Nest after the day’s competition is a fun and lively way to end your experience! Be sure to pack your dancing shoes for the live music. Some of the acts lined up to play live at the Bird’s Nest include The Doobie Brothers, Reggae act Slightly Stoopid, and O.A.R.
Whether you’re looking for general admission day passes to the tournament ($25) or sponsorship packages for corporations, offering prime seating in terraces and cabanas among other perks, the proceeds from the Waste Management Phoenix Open go to support Thunderbird charities, given out to different deserving organizations each year. A must for car collectors and enthusiasts, the 40th annual Barrett-Jackson auto auction opens at Westworld in Scottsdale this weekend. The festivities kick off this Saturday, January 15th with a 7 mile Road Rally of vintage and exotic cars through Old Town Scottsdale and continues into the evening with Barrett-Jackson Night, featuring ticket sales, giveaways and a car show at the Scottsdale Pavilions.
“Drive the Dream”, an annual charity auction will be held Saturday, January 15, and Family Value Day, which benefits COX Charities will take place on Monday, January 17th. Monday night is also the date of the official Opening Night Gala (by invitation only).

On Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th, SanTan Honda Superstore will host a “Keep Kids Safe” event from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
WHO
Parents please bring your children of all ages to one of the top Child Safety programs in the country! There is no age limit.
WHY
So many children are reported missing each day in the U.S. Most are found within minutes or hours and have happy endings. Police officials say that time is critical in the recovery of missing children. One major problem that costs precious time is the gathering of current photographs, fingerprints, and statistical information to assist law enforcement agencies.
WHAT
FBI quality digital fingerprints and photographs. S.I.P. Kids will take a child’s picture and fingerprints, using a digital inkless fingerprint capture device, and include them as part of the child’s file, which is then provided to the parent. The parents can use the records they receive to turn directly over to authorities anywhere in the world to instantly aid in an investigation.
HOW MUCH
Everything is FREE of charge!
No Data Basing
No records of the visit are maintained. The only record of the visit will go home directly with parents for safekeeping. S.I.P. Kids will not take any personal information from the children. A photo and fingerprints are taken and parents fill in the personal profile for their records once they are in the privacy of their own home.

Now through Sept. 15, the Valley Honda Dealers Association and CBS Channel 5 are collecting donations of items needed by our soldiers who are actively serving in combat zones around the world. These items are for care packages to give those serving in our Armed Forces who are putting their lives on the line fighting in far away places.
